Ingredients:
- 2Lbs – Beef stew
- 2Tbl – Oil
- 2tsp – Salt
- 1/4tsp – Black Pepper
- 2Tbl – All Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2Tbl – Butter
- 3Med – Onion, diced
- 2Lg – Carrots, diced
- 5 – Whole Allspice
- 3ea – Bay leaf
- 2c – Beef Stock
Directions:
- In a Large Pot, heat oil over high heat
- Season beef with Salt and Pepper
- Brown meat in batches, reserve each batch with the liquid
- Once all meat is browned, replace all to the pot and mix in the butter and flour
- Dice the Onion and Carrots, add to the meat
- Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, then drop to a simmer
- Simmer uncovered for 1 ½ to 2 Hours, until the Meat is tender
- Ladle over mashed Potatoes or noodles or pureed cauliflower
