• 2Lbs – Beef stew
  • 2Tbl – Oil
  • 2tsp – Salt
  • 1/4tsp – Black Pepper
  • 2Tbl – All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2Tbl – Butter
  • 3Med – Onion, diced
  • 2Lg – Carrots, diced
  • 5 – Whole Allspice
  • 3ea – Bay leaf
  • 2c – Beef Stock


  1. In a Large Pot, heat oil over high heat
  2. Season beef with Salt and Pepper
  3. Brown meat in batches, reserve each batch with the liquid
  4. Once all meat is browned, replace all to the pot and mix in the butter and flour
  5. Dice the Onion and Carrots, add to the meat
  6. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, then drop to a simmer
  7. Simmer uncovered for 1 ½ to 2 Hours, until the Meat is tender
  8. Ladle over mashed Potatoes or noodles or pureed cauliflower
